With over two decades of health care experiences across the spectrum of senior care—from hospitals and SNFs to 12 years in home care —I see the "whole environment," not just a diagnosis. I provide expert care and clinical advocacy.
Real-Life PT and Medical Fitness: I use your actual home and hobbies as your gym—making movement meaningful and, honestly, more fun.
Medical Navigation: Professional scribing, appointment advocacy, and jargon-free solutions.
Functional Mobility: Specialized transportation and "out-of-the-house" expertise for trips to parks, shops, or restaurants.
Active Improvement: We don't just "maintain"—we get you better by turning daily tasks into investments in your independence.
The Individual Advantage: No inconsistent agency staff or "intake nurses" you’ll never see again. When you hire me, you get a residency trained PT every session.
Zero-Fluff Flexibility: No multi-hour minimums or weeks of notice. Just expert, one-on-one care designed for your real life.
We tackle the unique challenges of aging—muscle loss, balance, and joint health—with a plan that actually fits your life.
Navigation & Mobility: Ensuring you can handle daily tasks with ease.
Cognition & Memory: I monitor how memory affects safety and provide modifications for your routine and home.
Family Connection: With your permission, I keep an open line with your family so everyone is on the same page.
Placement Guidance: If the time comes for a move, I provide professional recommendations for the right environment.
Insurance-based therapy often stops just as you’re getting your life back. Medical Fitness is about the active life you desire, not just what insurance deems "medically necessary."
Real-World Strength & Endurance: We move beyond the clinic to focus on the long-term stamina required for your specific quality of life.
Overcoming Fear: We practice real-world balance in your own environment, giving you the confidence to grab coffee with friends, navigate a lawn, or play pickleball.
Maximizing Progress: Whether I’m helping you master a current home program or taking over where insurance left off, I ensure you never lose the hard-won gains you’ve already made.
Connecting to Community: My goal is to combat loneliness by getting you out of the house and back into your community, boosting both your motivation and your independence.
Sometimes the biggest obstacle to staying home is the "small" stuff. I am able to provide hands-on assistance that standard therapists can't:
Personal Care: Skilled assistance with toileting, bathing, and dressing.
Palliative & Hospice Support: Drawing on my hospice background to ensure comfort and proper positioning. *I do not provide Hospice care, only support.
Scribing & Translating: I record important details like diagnosis and lab results, translating "doctor-speak" into plain English so you actually understand your health.
Active Advocacy: I help you articulate your symptoms and goals. If cognition is a concern or family can’t be present, I serve as your expert voice to ensure no detail is missed.
Medication Management: From pharmacy pickups to pillbox setup, I bridge the gap between "doctor's orders" and your daily routine.
Family Action Plans: I turn stressful medical events into clear, manageable next steps, keeping your family informed and everyone on the same page.
5. Full-Service Transportation: Assistance Beyond the Driveway
Traditional transport only goes curb to curb. I bridge the gap from your armchair to the exam room. Leaving the house shouldn't be the most stressful part of your day. I provide professional, hands-on assistance that ensures you get to your appointment safely and with dignity.
The Movement Matters Difference: I specialize in the "hard parts" that traditional drivers won't touch—navigating stairs, complex car transfers, and monitoring your health symptoms in real-time to ensure you stay stable.
Safety First: With 12 years of home care experience, I can handle the most restricted mobility needs. If things are complex, we can even do a "trial run" to establish the safest methods for your specific home layout.
Door-to-Doctor Convenience: I physically assist you into the clinic and stay with you if needed. There is no waiting on the curb for a random driver; I am there to take you home the moment you are ready.
Flexibility: Unlike medical transport companies that require 3-day notice and pre-qualifications, I offer responsive scheduling and 1:1 consistency.
Important Note: Due to legal and insurance requirements, I must use your personal vehicle for transportation.
It’s a common question! Federal law prohibits Physical Therapists from accepting private payment for services that would normally be covered by Medicare. Unlike some doctors, PTs cannot "opt out" of the Medicare system. This is actually a protection for you, ensuring that beneficiaries have access to their earned benefits through participating providers.
However, we can still work together.
If you have Medicare, we start with an assessment. If you have a "skilled need," I will advocate for you and help you find a Medicare provider. If you have reached a plateau or need non-PT support, we partner through:
Medical Fitness: Advanced training after formal PT ends.
Caregiving & Advocacy: Specialized support not covered by insurance.
Home Safety & Transport: Managing the logistics of your independence.
Physical Therapy is "skilled care" designed to treat a specific medical diagnosis or injury (like a hip replacement or a recent stroke) until you reach a functional plateau.
Medical Fitness is for individuals who have completed their formal PT but want to maintain their gains, prevent future falls, and stay active under the guidance of a movement expert. Since this is "maintenance" and not "rehabilitative," it is not a Medicare-covered service, allowing us to work together privately.
Yes! If you are not homebound, you typically wouldn't qualify for Medicare Home Health (Part A). In this case, I can partner with you through my Medical Fitness or Home Safety Assessment services to ensure you stay independent and active without the restrictions of a traditional clinic.
Absolutely. If our assessment shows that you have a "skilled medical need" that should be covered by Medicare, I will advocate for you. I can help you understand the difference between Home Health (Part A) and Outpatient (Part B) and help you find a local provider that fits your needs.
I am a cash-pay provider and do not bill insurance companies directly. This allows me to spend a full hour (or more) with you, one-on-one, without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies.
